Abdullah Visits China To Attend SCO Conference

KABUL (MEP) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdulalh leading a high level delegation is expected to leave to China’s Beijing on Sunday to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) annual meeting scheduled to hold on December 14.

A statement from the CEO office issued, states Abdullah accompanied by 11 ministers including Foreign affairs minister Salahuddin Rabbani, finance minister Aklil Hakimi, commerce and industry minister, Rural Rehabilitation and Development minister, mines and petroleum minister are among the 11 ministers who would leave to China today evening.

The Afghan delegation would also meet with leaders of China and other countries in the sidelines of the conference, according to the statement.

The SCO was established jointly by China, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in 2011; Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India and Mongolia are given observer status in the organization.
