Abadi Summoned For An Emergency Meeting On Iraq
MEP: Liberal Block MP, Zainab Al-Tai, on Sunday, accused the Parliament Speaker, Salim Al-Jabouri of exclusively making decisions and muzzling the members of the Parliament.
Liberals Block MP further demanded Prime Minister, Haider Al-Abadi to submit a request for holding extraordinary session for the Parliament to complete the vote on the ministerial cabin.
In a statement Al-Tai said “the Parliament Speaker has exercised and still exercises autocracy taking decisions in the Parliament,” considering that an attempt to muzzle members of parliament.”
She added that “Parliament Speaker disrupted his work without voting the rest of the new ministerial cabin that is within the government reforms. Prime Minister, Haider Al-Abadi is duty-bound to ask Parliament Speaker, Al-Jubouri to hold an extraordinary session to complete the vote on the cabin before the end of legislative term for proceeding in legislating vital laws “, Liberals MP concluded.
