KABUL: (MEP) According to the reports at least 15 people were killed and 10 wonded when a blast occurred near anti-polio center in Quetta during immunization campaign.
Police and rescue officials said, the explosion of unknown nature took place close to a government-run polio center in Quetta’s Satellite Town.
Fifteen people, including polio team members, were killed and ten others injured. Bodies and the injured were later shifted to civil hospital by rescue team, as security forces cordoned off the scene according to the reports.
It is also related to be mentioned here that three-day anti-polio vaccination drive was started from Monday in Balochistan, FATA, KPK and Gilgit Baltistan. Over 5 million children were expected to be vaccinated in the campaign.
