Afghan Military Kills Taliban Shadow Judge For Jawzjan Province

13002420_1007285662641552_3496095313805249165_oKABUL: (MEP) The Ministry of National Defense announced Sunday that 10 Taliban insurgents, including the Taliban shadow judge were killed in Jawzjan province.

Security forces have conducted huge anti-insurgent operations in the past 24 hours in a number of districts of Paktia, Kandahar, Badghis, Kunduz, Balkh, Faryab, Badakhshan, Helmand, Kabul, Baghlan, Jawzjan and Helmand provinces.

A statement by Defense Ministry said that dozens of armed insurgents were killed, three wounded and six others were arrested during the operations.

The security forces backed by air forces in Aqcha district of Jawzjan province, have killed Mawlavi Abdul Rahman, the Taliban shadow judge for the province in the operations, the statement added.

At least two security forces were also killed in the clashes.

Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry said 19 insurgents in the latest operation of Afghan National Army in the provinces of Jawzjan and Uruzgan were killed.

The ministry says in the operation yesterday evening in the suburb of Go-Gard Homa Sheberghan city, at least 15 insurgents were killed and 10 others were wounded.
