NDSKABUL: (Middle East Press) The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has arrested eleven insurgents belonging to the Taliban group in southern Kandahar province.

A statement issued by NDS on Saturday states, these insurgents were detained during a special operation from the center of Kandahar city.

The statement adds that the insurgents led by ‘Rahmatullah’ also known as “Dangar” along with ten of his fellows were involved in militancy activities on the outskirts of Kandahar city.

The detainees were involved in numerous terrorist activities including the assassination of one of the tribal leaders called “Nek Mohammad” Kandahar’s Zhari districts citizen, the assassination of two of the long Sergeant of Police and one of the government officials in Kandahar.
