Over 150 Taliban Militants Killed, Injured in Military Operations

security forcesKABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 85 Taliban militants were killed and 67 others were injured in clearing operations launched by security forces across the country in past 24 hours, Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced Saturday morning.

A statement issued by MoD states these operations were conducted in Dawlat Shah district of Laghman, Ale Saye district of Kapisa, Sayeed Abad district of Maidan Wardak, Rebat Sangi district of Herat, Bala Bolok district of Farah, Kharwaro district of Logar, Borka district of Baghlan and Sangin and Kajaki districts of Helmand province.

The statement adds that a number of weaponry and ammunitions were also seized and confiscated during the operations.

According to statement, at least ten members of security forces were also embraced martyrdom in roadside bomb explosions and insurgents’ shootings.
