KABUL: (MEP) A group of eleven men have gang-raped a nine year old girl in western Badghis province, local officials said Wednesday.
The sexual assault had occurred in Perachi area of Jawand district around two weeks ago, Farid Akhy Zai, the provincial council member told media.
He said four of the offenders are police members of Jawand district command.
The 9 year old girl is currently under treatment but her condition is critical, According to him.
The girl, after being raped by illegal armed men in exchange for 750 thousand Afghans have been brought to the marriage of a person, the provincial council member added.
The girl’s father is died and she does not have brother, but her mother and grandmother went to the center of Badghis provincial council and have filed complaints against the brutal act.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rauf Taj, Badghis police chief confirmed the sexual abuse but has denied the presence of police forces in the case.
According to Taj, all the aggressors are illegal armed men and none has so far arrested in connection to the case.
