6 woman prisoners freed from Herat jail

Forty-six prisoners have been released from the central jail of western Herat province in compliance to Presidential Orders issued on the International Women Day, and official said on Thursday.

Prison In-Charge Maj. Gen. Sardar Mohammad Zazi  said Afghan news six women and 40 male were among the released prisoners.

He told the freed prisoners to stay away from criminal activities in the future and live a hornourable life.

Officials from the appellant court, attorney general officer and provincial council were present during a gathering arranged in the honoure of freed prisoners.
