crime-sceneKABUL: (Middle East Press) At least five civilians have been killed after unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on them in southern Zabul province, officials said.

Mirwais Noorzai, police chief of Zabul province said that the incident took place in Nawbahar district when the victims were setting in a shop, unknown men started firing and killed them all in the spot Wednesday afternoon.

Noorzai added that security officials have soon reached the scene and following the gunfire three others were also injured as well as two attackers were killed and a policeman martyred.

However, investigation is still underway.
