44 Insurgents Killed In Afghan Military Operations

Afghan security forcesKABUL: (MEP) At least 44 insurgents were killed and 71 others wounded in Afghan military operations launched across the country in past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced Monday.

A statement released by MoD states the insurgents were killed and wounded in joint security operations that conducted in Maidan-Wardak, Kandahar, Helmand and Baghlan provinces of the country.

At least three security soldiers were also embraced martyrdom during the operations, the statement said.

According to the statement, the security forces have also seized dozens of weapons and grenades belonging to insurgents.

Clearing operations have started in different areas of Baghlan province in which over dozens of anti-government insurgents were killed and wounded since they had occupied a number of its key districts in the province but the security forces bravely beat them back.
