4 Dead, 14 Wounded In Bagram Airbase Explosion
MEP: As a result of an explosion inside Bagram Airbase of Parwan province, four people were killed and 14 others injured.
The NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) said in a statement the incident occurred this morning at 5:30 am due to an embedded bomb blast.
The identities of victims is not clear yet, the statement added.
“This kind of incidents, cannot not separate us from our aim in Afghanistan, and will be alongside Afghan security forces,” the statement further added.
Earlier Mohammad Zaman Mamozai, Parwan police chief said three people were killed and 12 others wounded in the attack.
The armed Taliban claimed responsibility behind the blast.
Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesman for the group wrote on his twitter page that a number of US forces killed in the incident.
