24 Killed, 91 Wounded In Kabul Twin Blasts As Taliban Claims Responsibility

MEP: Officials in the Ministry of Public Health announced that the death toll from twin suicide bombings in the Ministry of National Defense has risen to 24 and 91 others wounded with most victims are civilians.

The deadly incident took place at around 3:15 pm local time after two suicide bombers detonated their explosives near the compound of MoD.

The armed Taliban have claimed responsibility for the blasts by issuing a statement on Monday.

Wahid Majroh, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health confirms 24 people were killed and 91 people were injured in the terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior has strongly condemned the terror act calling it “Taliban’s unforgivable crime”.

The Ministry has vowed to avenge the blood of the Afghan innocent people of Taliban mercenaries.

On the other hand, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani also condemned the incident and said that Afghanistan’s enemies have once again shown that they are against progress in the country.

“Terrorist groups are trying to reach their nefarious aims by conducting terror attacks in the country,” he said.
