15-Year-Old Girl Shot Dead In Badakhshan
MEP: Local authorities in northeast Badakhshan province say a 15 year old girl has been brutally shot and killed in the district of Keshem.
Badakhshan governor’s spokesman, Naweed Frotan said the girl was called Chaman Gul who was in grade 8th in Mashhad school.
The motive and perpetrators of the murder is still unclear Frotan said, adding that police had arrested the girl’s brother on charges of the murder.
“Chaman Gul was killed at 6:00 am in the morning and the girl’s family wanted to bury the body without informing police but at 12 o’clock the police was informed and arrested her brother,” Frotan further added.
He says the girl’s mother told police that her daughter had committed suicide.
Badakhshan officials said police have started investigations in this regard.
