When Is The Taliban Ready For Intra-Afghan Talks?

The Taliban have said that intra-Afghan talks will include all involved sides and its position on the timetable of the talks has not changed.

Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the Taliban’s political office in Qatar, says all Afghan sides will participate in intra-Afghan talks.

“Intra-Afghan talks will begin after the troops withdrawal was signed with the United States,” he wrote in his Twitter post. “All afghan parties include the talks. This is our position that we have told the press frequently.”

At the same time, he has told NBC that the group wanted an all-inclusive government that would guarantee stability in the country.

Shaheen added that they will continue their war, unless the government is formed.

A spokesman for the Taliban’s political bureau in Qatar says the aim of the intra-Afghan talks is to form an all-inclusive government.

The government has not commented on the issue so far, but it has recently set up a delegation to negotiate with the Taliban, which is said to be composed of various parties and people.
