The Biggest World Winter Youths Games Event Launches with Presence of Afghanistan
The Russian President formally opened the biggest international students and youths sports games event.
According to Middle East Press International report; the Universiade was opened by Vladimir Putin last night in Krasnoyarsk city.
At the opening ceremony, Putin declared that the tournament is a good forum for establishing cultural exchanges and communications between the participating countries.
He stated that Russia is doing its best to make the matches as good as possible.
This International Winter Festival attracts more than 3,000 Students, post-graduates and alumni from 58 world countries to The Russian Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk.
On behalf of Afghanistan, there are one athlete and two delegates in the festival.
This is Afghanistan’s second-ever presence in World Winter Sports Games and in an unacceptable disorder, the chairman of the Afghan University Sport Federation, Manqosh-u-ddin Nasimi, who participates as a delegate, carries the flag of the country, and Mojtaba Shahidani, the only Afghan athlete in the ceremony just presented the Parade.
