Taliban’s Attack On Badakhshan Districts Folded

MEP: Security forces have pushed back the armed Taliban attack on Wednesday on the districts of Shuhadaa and Yaftal in Badakhshan province and are in control of the districts, an official said.

Naweed Frotan, spokesman for the governor of Badakhshan told the Middle East Press, the attacks began last night and continued until this morning.

He said security forces were able to beat the Taliban’s attack from the villages of Patawo Maghayeb of Shuhadaa district and areas of Yaftal district with entering casualties to the armed group.

During the clashes, three armed Taliban were killed and ten others were wounded. Their bodies remained on the battlefield, he added.

Badakhshan governor’s spokesman stressed that the security forces are present in all areas and maintain their achievements.

Badakhshan province in the northeast of the country is relatively insecure that recently, the armed Taliban had major mobility in various parts it.
