Taliban Shadow Governor Killed In Kunduz

11260463_938266399593963_6777822949223656256_nKABUL: (Middle East Press) Mawlawi Salam, Taliban’s shadow governor has been killed during the airstrikes launched by NATO forces in northern Kunduz province, local officials said.

The incident took place around 9:00 pm Tuesday near the airport of Kunduz city.

Mawlawi Salam was killed along with his deputy “Zabi”, “Haris” a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba and 15 other Taliban militants.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) spokesman said the death of Maulavi Salam is a major to the Taliban group as he was actively coordinating the attack in Kunduz city.

Heavy clashes were reported near the airport in Kunduz city earlier tonight after the Taliban militants launched an attack to infiltrate inside the airport.
