Takhar Provincial Council Member Killed In Personal Enmity

Takhar province-Middle East PressKABUL: (MEP) Clashes erupted between a member of Takhar provincial council and an illegal armed commander in Rastaq district in which the provincial council member was killed along with three others and four others wounded.

Khalil Asir, spokesman for Takhar police chief said the conflict occurred last night in the central district among Mullah Perum Qul and Ainuddin Rustaqi supporters.

According to Asir, the conflict arose out of personal animosity that had circulated for years among the people.

The body of the member of Takhar provincial council was handed over to his family and a delegation also visited the conflict scene to examine the incident.

The presence of armed groups in a number of provinces have followed concerns and in many cases casualties have also had.
