Suicide Attack Kills 19, Injures 33 in Faryab
KABUL: (Middle East Press) A suicide attack killed at least 19 people and injured nearly 33 others on Wednesday in northern Faryab province, local officials said.
The officials added that the incident took place in Alamar district in a busy market around 11:45 am local time.
According to reports, the suicide attacker targeted the security forces leaving 52 dead and injured.
Meanwhile, Dr. Halim, chief of the Public Hospital in Faryab said to ‘Middleeastpress’ that they have received 19 dead bodies and nearly 33 injured that some of the injured are in critical conditions.
Dr. Halim added that an eight years old child is also among the victims.
No group including the Taliban insurgents has claimed responsibility behind the attack so far.
