Rabbani Visits China Today

KABUL: (MEP) Salahuddin Rabban the Minister of Foreign Affairs will start a four-day official visit to China on Sunday, he said.

KABUL: (MEP) Salahuddin Rabban the Minister of Foreign Affairs will start a four-day official visit to China today , he said.

This will be the first visit by Minister Rabbani to China after assuming charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A statement by (MOFA) said Minister Rabbani is visiting China on an official invitation of his counterpart Wing Yi to meet with the key Chinese officials.

They further added that the visit by Minister Rabbani would be key in improving the bilateral relations of the two nations.

According to (MOFA), the two sides will hold talks on execution of the agreements reached between the two nations last year that would cover different sectors including economy, trade, security and cultural affairs.

China has emerged as key player during the recent years in Afghanistan and is a part of a quadrilateral working group on the Afghan reconciliation process.

The representative of China has participate in both the first and second rounds of the quadrilateral meetings on Afghan peace process, held in Islamabad and Kabul.
