KABUL: (MEP) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has arrived in Kapisa province to discuss security situation in capital of province.
He also expected to discuss on Violence against women and development with local government officials and residents.
His visit to Kapisa comes about a week after a similar visit to eastern Nangarhar province where he made several promises in the spheres of security, development and fighting the violence against women and showed strong stance in the fight against corruption for better governance.
Kapisa is one of the few provinces of Afghanistan where violence against women is on the rise.
In August, a young girl was raped in Frarkhshah area of Nijrab District for her brother’s crime.
