Preliminary Election Results Announcement Unclear
KABUL (MEP) – Although there are speculations that the preliminary election results will be announced in upcoming days, but this has not been officially announced by the IEC so far.
The recount of votes in the remaining seven provinces ended yesterday Dec. 20, and the result was submitted to the IEC.
In connection to this, officials in secretariat of IEC have told the media that they will submit their report to the commission today.
Officials said their report was about the announcement of the preliminary results of the presidential election.
According to them, the announcement of the preliminary results and its timetable is up to the commission, which has not yet been officially announced.
However, there are speculations that the preliminary results will be announced on Dec. 22, which has not yet been confirmed or denied by the commission.
