Police Rescue Security Council Worker From Kidnappers

IMG_6264KABUL: (MEP) Kunduz security officials have rescued an employee of the Security Council from armed kidnappers and robbers on Sunday.

Hijratullah Akbari, spokesman for Kunduz police chief said the Security Council employee was kidnapped by armed men eight days ago when he was travelling from Kabul to the northern Takhar on Kunduz-Khan Abad border.

“The kidnappers had taken vehicles, documents and the necessary supplies of the Security Council employee, after clashes with police that as a result of police operation, he was rescued from Bandar-e-Bukhari area of Khan Abad district and all the stolen goods were also received back.” Akbari added.

Meanwhile, a senior leader of the kidnappers and armed robbers has been arrested during a special operation conducted by Afghan intelligence in 3th police district of Kunduz city.

According to Kunduz police spokesman, the leader of kidnappers was identified as Noorzad, son of Shahzada Boroot, one of the ringleaders of the robbers who was involved in many criminal cases.

Akbari says the kidnapper has stabbed several policemen and was involved in many cases of kidnapping and abducting.

Investigations from the kidnappers is underway.
