Pakistani Military Kill 23 Insurgents near Afghan Border

M_Id_392778_Indian_jetsKABUL: (Middle East Press) Pakistani Security forces have launched military operations in the country’s North Waziristan and Khyber Agency close to the border with Afghanistan, killing 23 insurgents.

The airstrikes were carried out on Sunday, after military warplanes pounded their hideouts and ammunition depots in areas across Khyber and North Waziristan tribal districts.

According to reports, several foreign militants were among the terrorists killed in the operations and several arms dumps and hideouts of the terrorists were also destroyed.

Pakistani armed forces launched a massive operation against Taliban in North Waziristan in June 2014, after a deadly raid on the Karachi International Airport ended Islamabad’s faltering peace talks with the pro-Taliban militants.
