One Killed, Two Children Injured In Baghlan Rocket Attack

2000px-Baghlan_in_Afghanistan.svgKABUL: (MEP) A young man has been killed in a rocket attack fired at his residence in Baghlan province, local officials say Tuesday.

Zabiullah Shoja, Baghlan police chief press officer told the media the attack occurred Tuesday morning killing a 24 year old man and two children aged 9 and 10 were injured.

He said the rocket was fired from the direction of Dande Ghori area and hit the house among the police and the provincial office building.

Meanwhile, Dr. Shah Mohammad Hofyani, Baghlan Public Health Department press officer said that they have received the dead body of a young man regarding the incident however the injured have not yet shifted to the hospital.

The attack comes as last week a BM1 rocket was fired from the position of Dande Ghori at the headquarters of Baghlan province in Pul-e Khumri district in which one had been killed and three others including the driver of deputy governor were injured.

The anti-government armed militants are yet to comment on the report.
