MEP: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) thwarted a deadly suicide attack in Aibak city of Samangan province.
A statement by NDS released on Sunday states a suicide bomber was arrested after he was planning to carry out attacks in one of the most crowded areas.
“Lal Mohammad known as Ashuqullah has been tasked on the order of Talha, one of the Taliban commanders to carry blasts using a motorcycle packed with explosives” the statement added.
The militant was identified and arrested by intelligence officers before reaching target.
This comes as last week three terrorists in Kandahar – Zabul highway have been arrested while planting mines and acts of destruction.
