Mohammad Muhaqeq: Bamyan Power Contract Brings Equality Among All Ethnic Groups

Muhaqeq delivers speech on Bamyan power transmission line agreementMEP: Mohammad Muhaqeq, executive vice president and leader of the People’s Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan in connection with the signing of 220 kV transmission line in Doshi – Bamyan issued a statement on Sunday.

220 kV double-circuit transmission line project agreement with a capacity of 300 MW from Doshi area to the central Bamyan, was signed on Sunday between DABS and the Asian Development Bank in Presidential Palace (ARG).

Mohammad Muhaqeq, Second Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Sarwar Danish, Second Vice President, Ministers of Finance and of Energy and Water and the head of the Asian Development Bank were presented at the ceremony.

Muhaqeq, at the same time issued a statement congratulated all the people of Afghanistan especially the people of central and ancient Bamyan province as a very important action taken for the first time in the central region.

“Beloved nation, pride of the country and hard-working people – blessings and greetings be upon you!” Muhaqeq started reading his statement.

“Difficult security conditions and the million-strong masses of the country’s top economic fragility has abided heavy burden, but all the problems with the iron will of the people, the muscle of the nation and to trust God is solvable.”

Muhaqeq went on saying, “National and regional launch of major projects in the economic life of the country such as TAPI project, Chahbahar, Salma Dam or (Friendship of India – Afghanistan), Kajaki and TUTAP as well as other important projects in the field of road and transport infrastructure are signs of mobility in crucial areas of the country and is good for everyone.”

The project starts from June 20, 2016 and will be completed in 2019. The project is a step to stimulate the overall country’s economy and an important- historical move in order to fulfill the promises of the heads of government to break the siege of economic, political and geographical center of the country.”

The move is also a positive approach in the implementation of social justice and the realization of equality of Wendy in the country.

Muhaqeq in addition to his congratulation to the people of Afghanistan, said “Hazaras or Hazarajat, or in other words, in past 14 years of contributions of world’s hundreds of billion dollars have had no appropriate share, for example in the field of electricity, only one megawatt solar power was installed in Bamyan and a diesel generator in Daikundi while in the capital and other provinces were much more better and by 2032, no other electricity programs in the central areas dispensed, and the people’s houses were kept in the dark.”

“Now that the National Unity Government (NUG) is determined to get justice. Attention to social equality among all ethnic groups of the country and the big reconstructions arrived, we hope that the massive transformation to be created in the implementation of national projects across the country and at the same time hope for a significant leap in the direction of the Hazarajat towards balanced economic development and better lives than ever.”

“- Major power projects of 220 kV in Doshi – Bamyan with a capacity of 300 MW, worth approx. $130 million.

– North-South ‘Dahlez’ project, the streets of Mazar-e-Sharif, Bamyan Valley production worth about $250 million.

– Doshi – Bamyan road project, worth about $170 million.

– Gardan De Waal road project.

– Herat road project in central regions.

– Dozens of small and big other projects of the central areas, that I think it can be cited examples of balanced development as well as construction of 26 dual-purpose Water dams for Energy and irrigation and important projects of streets and power in the areas of agriculture and constructional, are progress in the economic field for improving the lives of people.

– Morning prosperity, security and stability is near.” He noted.
