‘Iraq Has The Potential For Ending ISIS’

MEP: “Muhammad is the Messenger of God. Those with him are stern against the disbelievers, yet compassionate amongst themselves. You see them kneeling, prostrating, seeking blessings from God and approval. Their marks are on their faces from the effects of prostration.”

In the tenth meeting of the Supreme Council of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, Dr Velayati, the secretary-general of the meeting, by referring to the twenty-ninth verse of Surah Al-Fatah in the Holy Quran examined the most important issues of the Islamic world, the need for unity and solidarity among Muslims, and the plots of the regional and international supporters of the separatist terrorist groups.

He said: Iraq was always at the risk of western divisive intrigues in more than a decade, after the fall of Saddam. And in the past few years it’s been faced with a challenge named ISIS.

He also added that with the help of the Iraqi government and its people from different ethnic and religious groups including Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds they were able to pass through the various crises that arose primarily as a result of Western conspiracies; and over the past few weeks they started the liberation of Mosul.

The operation of Mosul and the great battle of the army, the armed forces and the people forces against ISIS, which has been associated with a significant success, could be the beginning of the end of the world’s most violent terrorist group in the history. it’s a great honor for the government and the people of Iraq who managed together to overcome the ISIS. A group that created challenges in Iraq, Syria and the entire West Asian region and slowed the process of the Islamic awakening.
