India Delivers 3 Mi-25 Gunship Attack To Afghanistan

KABUL: (MEP) India has delivered three Mi-25 gunship helicopters for a major step towards the stability of Afghanistan as India is having a major contribution in the reconstruction of the country.

India has provided major financial aid to Afghanistan following the collapse of the hardline Taliban regime in 2001. The delivery of the three helicopters to the Afghan army indicates that Indian military cooperation to Afghanistan will be expanded in years ahead which can put New Delhi among the countries that provide military support to the war-hit country

Sources within the Ministry of Defense (MoD) have confirmed that three Mi-25 attack helicopters have arrived in Kabul and soon another helicopter will be delivered by New Delhi to Afghan forces.

The three Mi-25 gunship helicopters to Afghanistan is seen as a shift in its strategy towards the strife-torn country.
