Group of Six Taliban Militants Arrested in Nangarhar
KABUL: (Middle East Press) A group of six Taliban militants has been arrested by The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency in eastern Nangarhar province.
Abdul Qahar also known as Haqyar the shadow governor of the insurgent group for Dur Baba District was also among the six detained, said NDS on Sunday.
The other five militants are identified as Jaliz alias Shinwari S/O Gagar Khan, Akhtar Mohammad S/O Nadir, Shafiullah S/O Wali Mohammad, Esahaq S/O Haji Gul and Wali Mohammad.
According to the NDS the group has confessed to their crimes.
The group was arrested with three Kalashinkovs with 15 magazines, three pistols, hand grenade, one set of radio transmitters, two hand cuffs, flags of Daesh and a motorcycle from the jurisdiction of Ghanikhil District of Nangarhar province, said NDS.
The exact date of the detention was not released by NDS.
