Four Suicide Bombers Killed After Attacking Security Outpost in Kandahar

143615803616KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least four suicide bombers were killed after attacks on security checkpoints in Spin Boldak district of southern Kandahar province, officials said on Thursday.

“Four suicide attackers and two policemen were killed in clashes between the two sides” said Samim Akhplwak, spokesman for Kandahar governor.

The attack occurred around 7:00pm last night when one of the attackers riding on a motorcycle detonated himself at the entrance of the headquarters of the border police and three other attackers were entered the police station’s building.

The clashes between security forces and the three attackers continued for half an hour which resulted in the killing of three attackers and two police forces.

Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attack by releasing a statement, stating that 18 security forces were killed in the conflict.
