Dozens Of Students Poisoned In Ghor

MEP: At least 21 students of a religious school on Wednesday morning in northwest of Ghor Province were poisoned as a result of gas cramps.

Abdul Hai Khatibi, spokesman for the governor of Ghor in an interview with the Middle East Press, said the students were taken to the central hospital of the city of Ferozkoh.

The incident occurred at Daralhefaz seminary in the seven kilometers north of the city due to emissions of coal, he said.

Some of the students were discharged from the hospital after treatment and a number of them are still under treatment.

However, the hospital officials said seven of the students’ situation is dire.
