KABUL: (MEP) The constitutional rights should be respected by the citizens, President Ashraf Ghani reiterated on Wednesday.
He made the remarks as the country mark national week of constitution.
“As the president of the country, it is my duty to protect and implement constitution,” Ghani said calling also on citizens to do the same and make it part of their routine.
He added that Afghanistan’s constitution was one of the best in the world and “this is another reason why we should celebrate our constitution with pride and know how it is prestigious.”
The president called on civil societies, media, clerics and educational centers to help circulate constitution’s values and its rights and obligations.
In fact respect to stability, peace, social solidarity and to Islamic, national and humanitarian values is Respect to constitution, the president concluded.
