CEO Abdullah Arrives In Delhi

12665593_1559538247701684_770995761_nKABUL: (MEP) Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) a head of a high ranking delegation arrived in Delhi, capital of India Sunday afternoon, statement from CEO’s office said.

“Abdullah – on a five-day visit in India is expected to attend the Counter-Terrorism Conference, organised by India Foundation in association with Sardar Patel University of Police Security and Criminal Justice in Jaipur as well as delivering a speech on behalf of the Afghan people and government and would call for support and cooperation of all participating countries to seriously fight terrorism.” The statement adds.

CEO will also hold discussions with senior Indian officials including, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Minister Sushma Soraj, India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Duwall and other Indian government officials, speaking on Indian investment in Chabahar port and talk about peace and economic issues.

Abdullah’s visit comes nearly a month after Modi’s trip to Kabul during which he inaugurated the new Afghan parliament building, constructed with India’s aid.

According to the statement, officials of the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India would sign a memorandum of understanding during the five-day visit of CEO.

Abdullah was accompanied with a number of high-level government ministers and officials during the visit where he will remain until next week Thursday, February 4.
