Bus Accident Injures 25 People on Kabul-Herat Highway
KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 25 people were seriously wounded when a passenger bus which was traveling on Kabul-Herat highway fell down the road, local officials said.
The officials added that incident took place in Mir Dawoud area of Guzerah District around 03:00 AM this morning.
The victims included women and children and their health conditions are critical said Ihsanullah Hayat, spokesman for the governor of Herat province.
The passenger bus locally known as “303” belongs to a bus service company namely Ahmad Shah Abdali.
The motive behind the accident is still unknown but unprofessional driving, bad roads and the unavailability of adequate traffic signs are believed to be the main causes of most of the traffic accident in Afghanistan.
Over 1000 people die in Afghanistan due to reckless driving and car accidents every year.
