Afghanistan Awaits ‘Full Of Deception Elections’
MEP: The new head of the National Front of Afghanistan believes that the negligence of the government towards electoral reform, an election full of deception than the two years of elections waiting for the Afghan people.
Anwarul Haq Ahadi, on Sunday at a press conference in Kabul, stated that the challenge of electoral reform now becomes a crisis and has turned the country into a disaster.
Ahadi, criticizing the government leaders said, “There is no clear ideas for reform among government leaders and parliamentary elections.”
However, he added that reform of the electoral system in a few weeks is a practical limit; but incompetence has caused government leaders not to put this process in practical in the past two years and the leaders have also wasted their times.
Ahadi said that in case of non-implementation and implementation of reforms in the electoral system, parliamentary and provincial council elections than the presidential election will be full of deception.
Ahadi has linked together Loya Jirga, government reform, reform of the electoral system and the distribution of electronic ID cards and said “If the government wants to change the governance system, Loya Jirga must be held and distribution of electronic ID cards is needed for transparent elections, therefore the government is seeking a delay in the elections.”
