Afghanistan And Turkmenistan Emphasis To Expand Trade Ties

12540003_10207819822909521_1713872959_nKABUL: (MEP) Aklil Hakimi, Afghan Finance Minister Friday at the head of a high ranking delegation of commissioners for a one-day visit arrived to Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan.

The Afghan delegation visited the country to follow up on commitments made during the recent visit of President Ghani to Turkmenistan as well as furthering 21 development projects through Ashgabat’s grants.

During the visit the officials of both nations discussed on different issues after holding the fifth meeting of the joint economic, expansion of railway and the purchase of oil.

Aklil Hakimi met with Yakhshi Galdi Kakayuf, Vice President of Turkmenistan in the oil and gas affairs, Stelyuqof, deputy council of ministers in railway and transportation affairs and Rashid Mardof, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.

Both sides have emphasized on strengthening and expanding trade and economic relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and called for action in this area.

The Minister of Finance was accompanied by Advisors of Economic Affairs, representatives of Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Public Works.
