Afghan Military Kills, Injures 123 Militants across the Country
KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 86 anti-government militants have been killed and 37 others wounded in separate operations with afghan security forces across the country in past 24 hours, Ministry of Defense (MoD) said Thursday morning.
MoD issued a statement, states at least two afghan soldiers have also been killed in a landmine explosion and militant fire, however the statement did not specify exact location of the incidents.
The operations were conducted in Ghor, Helmand, Nimroz, Zabul and Logar provinces, the statement added.
According to the statement, at least 20 different types of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered and defused by the military during the operations.
