KABUL: (MEP) Afghan security forces and Afghan national police have launched military operations across the country killing at least 16 insurgents in past 24 hours.
The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Samangan, Takhar, Kunduz, Faryab, Balkh, Kandahar, Zabul, Ghazni, Paktika, Paktia and Helmand provinces in order to eliminate the enemies of Afghanistan.
At least 5 others were also injured during the operations, according to a statement released by Ministry of Interior on Monday.
A number of weapons and ammunitions were also seized by security forces in the operations.
The Interior Ministry announced that the country’s security forces, particularly the national police force with strong determination have intensified its effort to suppress the insurgents across the country.
