Abdullah Meets the Commander of US Forces

ejraee.abdullahKABUL: (Middle East Press) Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) met Gen. John Campbell, the commander of the US forces in Afghanistan.

“Afghan forces should mobilize the international community to combat terrorism and it’s financing” said Abdullah during the meeting.

Chief Executive Officer said Afghanistan is a friend of confidence of the international community and countries of the world should trust the Afghan security forces to help them in the fight against terrorism.

This comes as US president, Barack Obama has recently announced that Afghanistan is a serious partner of the United States, ensuring that the country’s security is important for America.

Obama has also said that US forces will remain in Afghanistan after the year 2016.

Abdullah Abdullah during the conference on Saturday with Gen. Campbell, considered the US military presence “important” in Afghanistan after 2016.

US troops were supposed to leave Afghanistan by the end of 2016, but after the fall of Kunduz city to Taliban militants, US forces’ presence renewed in Afghanistan until 2017.
