Ghani’s Attack On Taliban: You Are The Enemy Of Afghanistan And Its People 

MEP: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani at the opening of the sixteenth round of the legislative National Assembly, attacked the armed Taliban and called part of those who resort to killing people like ISIS and other terrorist groups, the enemy of Afghanistan.

The sixteenth annual legislative session of the National Assembly of Afghanistan after the 45 day period of winter holidays was inaugurated today (6 March) by President Ghani and under strict security measures.

The ceremony was attended by prominent political figures, including former President Hamid Karzai and a number of senior government officials.

Ashraf Ghani said 20 terrorist groups are operating in Afghanistan that take people’s lives every day.

Emphasizing on the identification of friend and enemy of the people, he referred to the armed Taliban and reiterated that the lack of giving up of this group of war, led foreign troops in Afghanistan continues to be present.

The president explicitly stated that the armed Taliban have provided presence of all terrorist groups in Afghanistan who are engaged in battle with security forces.

About friends and enemies of Afghanistan he said that “beside the ISIS terrorist group and foreign groups, there are groups of armed Taliban who wants to kill people.” “They are the enemies of Afghanistan and its people”, he added.

However, the president stressed that peace door is always open and those who have been deceived by intelligence agencies of other countries, can peacefully join the country’s peace rank after leaving war.

Meanwhile, Abdul Raouf Ibrahimi chairman of the House of Representatives said Afghanistan is the victim of actions of countries in the region and warned over the upcoming summer saying that “enemies” were trying to pressurize our security forces and “the government must be prepared.”
