Living Conditions In The Occupied Territories Are As Bad As You Think

KABUL: (MEP) According to the latest survey by Edelman global organization, one of the largest public relations agencies in the world, the majority of Israelis lack trust in their government.

According to the Jerusalem Post, studies show most Israelis living in the occupied territories have no confidence in the government and the press. In this context, Edelman international organization has undertaken a survey for the first time in Israel and 28 other countries simultaneously, the result of which showed that only 26 percent of Israelis polled said they trust their government, and this was the lowest number among other countries with a world average of about 43 percent. In other words, only a quarter of occupied territories inhabitants trust their authorities and their policies.

In this survey, only 35 percent of Israelis said they trusted the media, which is very low as compared with the global average of 49 percent. The results of this survey suggest that censorship, filtering and extensive media control by the Israeli government indicated Israeli officials’ dual and hypocritical policy toward Israeli society and the international community.
