KABUL: (MEP) Afghan security forces and Afghan National Army have managed to kill at least 91 insurgents in different provinces of the country, the Ministry of Defence announced Sunday.
In addition 22 others were also injured during the military operations, the ministry said.
According to the statement, the operations were conducted in Shendand and Chesht-Sharif districts of Herat province, Gomal district of Ghazni, Waza Khowa and Jani Khel of Paktika, Gereshk, Washir and Khanshin districts of Helmand in past 24 hours.
At least 11 members of Afghan forces were also embraced martyrdom in the operations.
The military have seized and confiscated a number of weapons and ammunition from the insurgents, the ministry stated.
