NDS: 26 People Arrested On Charge Of 565KG Of Drugs Smuggling In Nangarhar
KABUL: (Middle East Press) The National Directorate of Security (NDS) – Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has discovered some 565 kilograms of narcotic drugs and at least 26 people have been arrested on the charges of the drugs in Nangarhar province in the past two weeks.
Colonel Hazrat Hussian Mashriqiwal a spokesman for provincial police chief of Nangarhar said, the security personnel of Nangarhar province discovered 281 kilograms drugs and arrested 6 suspected people on charges of the cases.
Mashriqiwal added, 122 kilograms narcotic drugs were discovered and seized by security forces and two vehicles along with 2 persons arrested in Sarkhroud and Dor Baba district of the province.
According to the source, counter-narcotic drug officials during searching cars discovered 134 kg drugs type of hashish and opium from two vehicles (Town Ace, Saricha) in Daronta region, Sarkhroud district of the province.
Five smugglers including two women, who wanted to smuggle the narcotic drugs arrested as well.
