Roadside Blast Kills Four Civilians in Baghlan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least four people were killed after a roadside mine exploded in northern Baghlan province Sunday evening, said the officials.

The officials added that the incident occurred in Burka District of Baghlan province.

The target of the blast was the governor and police chief of Burka District, according to reports.

Abdul Jabar Islami, governor of Burka District said that the bomb went off after their convoy passed through the site between the district center and Falul area.

Islami added that a civilian vehicle behind the convoy hit the landmine leaving four people killed and the vehicle totally damaged.

No group has claimed responsibility behind the incident so far.
