Heavy Blast Killed 55 In Sindh Province of Pakistan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 55 people have been killed and several others have been wounded following an explosion in Sindh province of Pakistan at Imambargah of Shikarpur on Friday.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 55 people have been killed and several others have been wounded following an explosion in Sindh province of Pakistan at Imambargah of Shikarpur on Friday.

The blast took place at Karbala-e-Moalla, located at Lakhi Dar area of the city during the Friday prayers.

Law enforcement agencies and rescue teams rushed to the scene after the blast. The area has been sealed by the law enforcers.

The wounded were shifted to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for treatment. Chaotic scenes were witnessed at the hospital where large number of people have gathered to find their loved ones.

Some of the injured are said to be shifted to Chandka Medical College Hospital of Larkana and Civil Hospital Sukkur due to the seriousness of their injuries.

Police said that the incident seems to be a suicide bombing. SSP Shikarpur Saqib Ismail has said that around 55 people have been injured in the incident. Replying to a question about the nature of the blast, and further investigation has been launched in order to know the nature of the explosion.
