ANA soldiers take part in a training exercise at a military base in KabulKABUL: (Middle East Press) An intensive clashes and gunfire erupted late Saturday in southern Zabul province that left at least four Afghan security forces and 16 Taliban militants dead, officials said.

Fawad Askari, spokesman for Zabul Police Chief said, the fighting began in Daichopan district when a number of terrorists attacked a security check post.

Askari added that the insurgents clashed with security forces for over 13 hours in which all the attackers were killed.

The Taliban group have not made comment regarding the incident so far.
