MEP: At least seventeen people have lost their lives and some 30 others wounded in a deadly traffic accident in Bala Baluk district of Farah province.
The accident occurred on Friday evening in Tot Chakab area when a bus type (303) overturned and its driver lost control over it, security sources said.
According to reports, the wounded have been transferred to the central hospital of Farah and neighboring provinces.
The bus was reportedly heading towards Herat province. Women and children were also among dead and injured.
Traffic accidents in the country’s highways are not unprecedented as earlier this month a traffic accident in Ghazni province killed and wounded more than 100 people.
