16 Daesh, Armed Taliban Individuals Killed In Nangarhar
MEP: At least 12 armed Taliban and four Daesh-affiliated members have been killed in joint air and ground operations conducted by Afghan and foreign security forces in the districts of Achin and Khogyani in Nangarhar province.
A statement was issued by Nangarhar’s press office states, the operation was launched last night on the armed Taliban and Daesh positions.
The statement adds that 12 Daesh terrorists were killed in foreign drone attack in Achin and two others were wounded.
Elsewhere in a joint operation by Afghan and foreign air operation in Khogyani district at least four armed Taliban were killed and three others wounded, the statement further added.
The Afghan security forces also managed to seize a number of weapons and ammunition belonging to Daesh and armed Taliban during the operations.
Nangarhar province is one of the most insecure provinces where Daesh terrorists regularly launch terror activities against security forces and civilians.
