Yemen Defense Ministry Hit by Saudi Air Strike

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Ministry of Defense in Yemen’s capital Sanaa has been hit by Saudi air strikes on Thursday, according to witnesses.

The witnesses said three explosions were heard as warplanes hit the building in central Sanaa and thick smoke billowed over the area.

The Saudi-led coalition has also targeted a food supply building belonging to the army in western Sanaa, other witnesses said.

Earlier in the day, a base for the Republican Guard in Arhab, north of the capital, was hit, while other air strikes targeted positions in Saada.

The Saudi-led coalition on March 26 began air strikes against Yemen, killing or wounding hundreds of civilians and causing much destruction across the state.
